Portrait of Alissa Zemering, therapist at Therapeutic Arts

Alissa is an experienced art therapist specializing in both individual and couples counseling, offering a creative, integrative approach to healing that goes beyond traditional talk therapy. Using expressive, art-based techniques alongside evidence-based methods, Alissa helps clients and couples process emotions, deepen self-understanding, and work through relationship challenges in a compassionate, non-judgmental space. Alissa is a licensed art therapist and certified Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy provider. She does not prescribe, administer, or provide medical supervision for ketamine treatment. Ketamine is administered only by a licensed psychiatrist or medical provider, who conducts the required medical evaluation and oversees dosing and safety. Alissa’s role is strictly psychotherapeutic—providing emotional support, preparation, and integration therapy before, during (as a trained sitter), and after the ketamine experience. Clients interested in ketamine treatment will be referred to a partnering psychiatric provider for medical evaluation.
